Appeal following fatal collision in Stevenage

Officers are appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage following a fatal collision in Stevenage.

The incident occurred just before 12.40pm yesterday (Monday 23 March) on the A602 travelling from Stevenage towards Watton at Stone. It is reported that a white Tesla Model 3 collided with a tree. 

Sadly, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a man aged in his 60s, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.

Detective Constable Felicity Walker, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this time. 

“If you were travelling in the area at the time of the collision and may have information that could assist with our investigation, please get in touch. If you have a dash cam fitted, please review your footage as you may have captured something which could help us progress our enquiries.”
